About us

Vaartjes Transport is a specialized truck-mounted crane and special transport company with a long-standing history of more than 65 years. Our company is small-scale, but we act large and extremely professionally when it comes to loading, transporting and unloading high-quality machines in various industries such as construction, energy, food, hi-tech electronics, metal, furniture, oil and gas, railways, packaging and industry, and more.

Thanks to our unique fleet, equipped with powerful truck-mounted cranes and swap bodies, and with highly experienced VCA-certified work drivers, we are able to deliver even the heaviest and largest objects safely and exactly to the right location. We are your logistics partner in industrial packaging, boxing, rental, storage and transshipment, container rental and office unit rental.

Our mission is clear: we strive to be and remain the very best in truck-mounted crane special transport, with which we set a benchmark for quality in the Twente region and beyond. As a proud Twente family business, we have been providing high quality and service at fair prices for decades.

Potatoes and fish

Wicher Vaartjes was an adventurer. So when he was given access to an old army truck in post-war Vroomshoop, he took up the challenge. Twice a week we go west with Twente potatoes, returning with tons of fish from Katwijk and Vlaardingen. Later he transported all kinds of things for the still flourishing Enschede textile industry. The purchase of a second truck was not long in coming.

A steadily growing fleet

Thanks to a steadily growing fleet, Vaartjes Transport was able to spread its wings even further. Small materials as well as large switch cabinets and complete power stations were transported throughout the Netherlands for electrical giant Hazemeyer in Hengelo. Vaartjes Transport thus grew into a specialist that was found and appreciated by more and more clients from the electrical, construction and railway industries.

From Vroomshoop toHengelo

Johan Vaartjes moved the company from Vroomshoop to Hengelo, where, in addition to a better connection to the highway network, it had a spacious site with a new office, a 1200 m2 storage shed and its own truck wash. The company grew with its clients to continue to meet their strict requirements and wishes. The appreciation for this is reflected in the long and strong bond of trust that Vaartjes Transport has with many of them.

Vaartjes nowadays

The third generation of Vaartjes is proud that the company has remained healthy even in tough economic times. The attention to quality and service has never slackened. From the first meeting to the last project invoice, everything has been taken care of down to the last detail. Thanks to its unique technical capabilities, highly experienced drivers and short lines of communication between and with directors Simone and Wieger Vaartjes, Vaartjes Transport is still the Twente specialist in reliable truck-mounted crane transport.
